First of all we want to say thank you for visiting. This site is inspired by Barack Obama's Call to action. It will take all of us to inspire change in America. We hope you keep visiting and watch as this historic time continues to be fluent.
Visits to the site have increased faster than we thought they would. This is a good thing but we weren't ready for a increase of 400% in less than a month.
This has encourage us to make some adjustments and upgrades. This may slow the site down as we are working hard to add functions we think visitors can use. Recently added site tools include Tag Clouds for easy navigating of topics users use most.
The Obama Forum is a place were we encourage users to post editorials and opinions. What ever it is we believe in free speech here. We have held off adding topics and forum threads. We are building the forum to capcher relevancy of the users. To do this the admins are watching the comments and twitter updates to see what users want the forum to become. Please leave a comment on this post if you have a forum topic or category we can add.
Retweet or @RT button has been added for easy retweets. Twitter has played a big part in the building of this site. Twitter has become a big player in WWW2 social interaction. The marriage of social networking and a " Call to Action" will revolutionize how citizens can affect government.
Including more categories with relevant topics are on the way. The Obama wave isnt about one man! It's about lots of people doing what they can to improve all of our lives. This includes some famous people and some not so famous stepping forward. Some of the categories we are considering are:
Breaking News: News from all over the country. International news: Sometimes we Americans forget about the rest of the world.
Weekly Book Clubs: As the Obama administration moves forward lots of authors are throwing in their hat. Plenty to read these days. Maybe include New York Times Best Seller List and Oprah's Book Club List. Including would be good for PDA, Smartphone and Kindle DX users by including downloadable books from Amazon, Barns and Noble or any number venues.
Weekly or Daily Obama Collectible. With so much Barack Obama memorabilia being offered some real interesting collectibles and clothing are being sold. Everything from bobble heads , Comic books tand cartoons to portraits that are sure to become desirable.
