Like most Americans on the east coast I awoke to Barack Obama speaking in Egypt.  Obama spoke of tolerance of others beliefs and religion.

The President also spook directly at Iran and declared that Israel is not going away. We should all realize this and move forward not dwell in the past.

I must say this is like using reverse psychology on a child. He takes whomever is watching by the hand and explains why you can't abuse a people because of religion, sex, background or beliefs. The treatment and a woman's freedom was also a topic Obama covers in this speech.

The audiance (mostly students) seemed to like Barack Obama as the applause was numerous. Obama is a great speaker and is more of a teacher who can get through to people. With a new youthful generation of middle easterners coming to power we can hope that the regoin can learn to live together.

Obama's campaign promise to make tax's fare for the common American. Secretary Geithner opens with remarks like that and went on to announce that tax loop holes for corporations and individuals with assets over seas would be closed.

No longer will US companies be able to have overseas subsidiaries not pay taxes in the US. No longer will large companies and well to do individuals be able to evade the rules other Americans must live by everyday.

One of the most frequent questions the President gets is, whether through the comment form or through the Open for Questions session  launched for the President’s online town hall, is about the incentives in the tax code for companies to shift jobs overseas. This is one of the top questions in the jobs section, for example:

"What are your plans to encourage corporations to keep middle class jobs, such as customer service call centers and transactional based support services like accounting and computer program jobs, in the U.S?"
PAG, Houston, TX

Today the President answered that question with proposals to curb tax havens and replace tax advantages for creating jobs overseas with incentives to create them here at home.
