With all the excitement around health care we thought this shirt could bring a chuckle. As We searched for a shirt for t shirt Monday this one was being sold as a Obama Parody Shirt. I makes no mention of President Obama anywhere. Or is it that Barack Obama is compared to the Mystery Machine? I get it now. Ha Ha.
This go's to show what lengths people will take to sell something. It's a good idea really. Most of the shirts being sold now are anti-Obama Shirts.
Political T Shirts are generally meant to shock people. Something stupid or funny are the exception. Even though this shirt isn't really a Obama Shirt it makes you think about the direction people are starting to think.
For about the 8th time President Obama uses the weekly address to talk about health care. The President has shown to us that he means business. He has taken this personal for many reasons. The foremost is his family history. The two most influential people in his life. His mother and grand mother.
The recent protests and town hall meeting have set this issue on fire. It should be. Health care has been shot down many times over the last 3 decades. The last real hope of health insureance was the Cliton Administartion. Hillary Clinton took on health just as personally as President Obama and it was dragged around until it finally died.
If you watch the new on a regular basis you see some crazy and downright immature behavor. People screaming at there local politicians and creating a threatening atmosphere. Intimidation seems to be on the menu for this debate.
These protests remind us of some abortion protest not so long ago. People using threats and intimidation to get there way. This is unacceptable and if we think about it, it is really terrorism. American on American terrorism. This can not be tolerated by any means. Something needs to be down so the common US Citizen can get there questions answered.
The people at these town halls, rallies and other meetings who threaten or intimidate others need to be arrested or put into protective custody. Just like any other person posing a threat to others. Personally I would not want anyone in my family going to one of these events. I would fear for there safty and that just plain wrong.
The folks causing the disturbances are doing know one any favors by acting the way the are. They need to be put in check by the rest of us. If you hear someone spewing bull like "there will be death camps" shut them down. That is such a huge lie. Make them prove what they say.
This debate is to big of a subject for this website. We are here to document the legacy of Barack Obama, not judge. But we do voice our opinion like all US Citizens should do.
As the health care reform debate moves forward discussions are becoming heated at townhhall meeting. Obama brings up the disinformation.
As this is so important US citizens should read the bill themselves in this writers opinion. It is becoming more and more difficult to wade through the rumors and outright efforts to discredit President Obama at every turn. Basically don't listen to anyone on TV or Radio. Read the bill and decide on your own, not some fat pill head from Florida or a anchor person on CNN who went to community college. Non of these people have the credentials to now whats best.
Just because a person in the media says they are a expert doesn't make them one.
House painting is becoming the fastest growing new business in America now. Most of these new painters never worked in the trade, but they will all say they know what there doing. Watch out for peeling paint next year.
So before anyone decides a person in the media is a authority watch for peeling paint to come.
