The Kid's Tobacco Legislation was passed by the US Senate. President speaks to the issue and a victory over tobacco being marketed to children.
President took a few minutes to address the press from the Rose Garden to praise Congress and his legislative team for the bipartisan passage of kids tobacco legislation. Like many of the bills passed in the first few months here, it is a long-overdue, common sense measure, the passage of which shows the possibility of change in Washington.
