The United States has been struggling with health care reform for decades. Making health care available and affordable for all US Citizens has shown to be a difficult task at the least.
Barack Obama has put health care on the front burner with this announcement of industry leaders agreeing to take steps. Representatives from hospitals, the insurance industry, medical device and pharmaceutical companies, labor unions and physicians all came together and discussed big steps being taken to lower health care costs for Americans.
