Recently with the sudden focus on H1N1 Swine Flu and the fluency of  changing administration and policies.  A Web 2.0 approach is obvious to a President who use Web 2.0 to win a election. The White House now has a presence on the most popular social web 2.0  sites.

White is web 2.0. Well that open to interpretation. Most believe the new trend in social networking and a war on comment spam best describes Web 2.0. The new web is a whole new attitude towards the way people use the Internet. Being social and communication with other like minded people. Whether its sharing photos on flicker, Facebook or sending out tweets on twitter about breaking news and trends that interests each individual, its all becoming 2.0.

The Web 2.0 Internet is in almost everyone's hands. Its right on your cell phone with the advent of smartphones with RSS Feed and text messaging.

The Obama administration understands Web 2.0 and is embracing it. The White House is taking steps to expand how the Administration is communicating with the public. President Obama directed agencies to put up Twitter, MySpace and Facebook pages to keep the public informed about what government is doing and to keep transparency a priority.

Twitter has proved invaluable with the recent H1N1 Swine Flu outbreak. The Twitter Search has had "H1N1" and "Swine Flu" on the trending topics every day since the virus was first discovered. Become Web 2.0 user and follow us and the White House.

Technology has profoundly impacted how,  and where we all consume information and communicate with one another. WhiteHouse.gov is an important part of the Administration’s effort to use the internet to reach the public quickly and effectively, but it isn’t the only place.
